Wentworth Miller is an English-American actor, screenwriter, and fashion model. He stars as “Michael Scofield” in the Fox drama series, Prison Break. His film credits include Underworld (2003), Resident Evil: Afterlife (2013), and The Loft (2014). Wentworth Earl Miller III was born on June 2, 1972, in Chipping Norton, England. His mother, Joy Marie, is a teacher, and his father, Wentworth, an attorney. He has two younger sisters, Leigh and Gillian. Miller grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he attended Midwood High School. He continued his education at Quaker Valley High in Pennsylvania, followed by Princeton University in New Jersey. He graduated in 1995 with a BA degree in English.
CAREER
Miller moved to Los Angeles, California in 1995 to pursue acting. His television debut was a 1998 episode of the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He appeared in 3 episodes of ‘Time of Your Life’ and an episode of ‘ER’. His first starring role was that of “David Scott” in the Disney Channel miniseries, Dinotopia (2002). Miller played the younger version of Anthony Hopkins character in the drama film, The Human Stain (2003). He held a small role in the action-horror, Underworld (2003), starring Kate Beckinsale. He voiced the evil robot jet “EDI” in the sci-fi action, Stealth (2005). He was featured in Mariah Carey‘s 2005 music videos for the single “It’s Like That” and “We Belong Together”.
Miller landed the lead role as “Michael Scofield” opposite Dominic Purcell in the drama series, Prison Break. The show first aired on Fox on August 29, 2005. He won a Golden Globe Award nomination in 2005 for best actor in a TV drama series. Miller co-starred as “Chris Redfield” in Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) and as “Luke Seacord” in The Loft (2014). He guest-starred as “Leonard Snart” aka “Captain Cold” in ‘The Flash’ and ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’. His screenwriter credits include Stoker (2013) and The Disappointments Room (2016).
