Wayne Rogers was an American actor, director, screenwriter and investor. He played ‘Trapper John McIntyre’ in the CBS television series, M*A*S*H. Rogers was born on April 7, 1933 in Birmingham, Alabama. He studied history at Princeton University and was a member of their Triangle Club. He served three years in the US Navy as a navigator on a cargo ship. He made his acting debut in the mid 1960s doing various roles in dramas and sitcoms. Rogers made appearance in series like ‘Gunsmoke’, ‘The Fugitive’, and co-starred in the western drama series, ‘Stagecoach West’. He went on to play his most prominent role of ‘Trapper John’ in the hit comedy series M*A*S*H from 1972 to 1975. He was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in December 2005. He was chairman of ‘Kleinfeld Bridal’ and C.E.O of ‘Wayne Rogers & Company’. He got married to first wife, Mitzi McWhorter, in 1960 and second wife, Amy Hirsh, in 1988. Wayne Rogers died on December 31, 2015 at the age of 82. His cause of death was complications from pneumonia. He was 6ft 3in tall and had an estimated net worth of $75 million.
