Vanna White is an American actress and television personality best know for co-hosting Wheel of Fortune. She also has a line of yarn called Vanna’s Choice. White was born Vanna Marie Rosich on February 18, 1957 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was raised by her mother ‘Joan’ and stepfather ‘Miguel’. She’s an alma mater of North Myrtle Beach High School.

CAREER
White moved to Atlanta, Georgia after high school. She studied at the Atlanta School of Fashion and worked briefly as a model. White then moved to Hollywood where she landed small roles in films like Gypsy Angels (1980) and Graduation Day (1981). Her first game show appearance was on an episode of ‘The Price Is Right’ in 1980. White was selected out of 200 applicants as Susan Stafford’s replacement on Wheel of Fortune in 1982. She’s worked alongside Pat Sajak for several years as hostess, chief letter-turner and model. She celebrated her 6,000th episode in April 2014.

White’s autobiography, Vanna Speaks!, was released in 1987 to commercial success. A year later she starred as “Zeus” in the NBC television film, Goddess of Love. She’s since appeared on shows like L.A. Law, Simon and Simon, and The King of Queens. White was named “television’s most frequent clapper” by The Guinness Book of World Records in 1992. Her star was added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 20, 2006.

Vanna White is 5ft 6in tall and has a net worth of $30 million. She won a $403 thousand lawsuit against Samsung Electronics in 1992 for violating her personality rights in their advertisement. White was married to the restaurant owner ‘George San Pietro’ from 1990 to 2002. They had two children, Nicholas and Giovanna. She was previously engaged to ‘John Gibson’, who died in a 1986 plane crash.
