ORIGIN
Seattle native, UMI is an American female recording artist out of Los Angeles, California. Her music of choice revolves around R&B, neo-soul, and lo-fi alternatives. She rose to prominence in 2017 after releasing the track “Happy Again.” Since then, she’s uncovered the popular singles “Remember Me,” “Butterfly,” and “River.” Several of her latest singles are released below Universal Music Group; an indicator that she might be signed. In 2019, UMI unveiled her 2nd EP and released several songs that went viral. “Love Language,” her 2nd project, was dropped on October 30, 2019, by Loud Robot. It featured 4 tracks and hosted one artist, Yeek. The EP was anchored by two singles, Love Affair and Breathe. She recently uploaded the official music video for “Breathe.” Despite her fairly short time in the industry, UMI’s music has made steady progress.
