Tyler Blevins, better known as “Ninja,” is an American video gamer, eSports player, YouTuber, and streamer on Mixer. Prior to his departure, he was the most popular Twitch Streamer with 14+ million followers. His games of choice include Fortnite Battle Royale, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, H1Z1, and the Halo series. He also has millions of fans across YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. In 2018, Ninja won the ‘Streamy Award’ for the creator of the year. He was named streamer of the year at the 11th Shorty Awards on May 5, 2019.

Ninja was born Richard Tyler Blevins on June 5, 1991, in Lake Villa, Illinois. He grew up in the village of Grayslake in Lake County. His parents are Chuck and Cynthia. He has two older brothers, John and Chris. The family appeared on the Family Feud game show in 2015. Blevins attended Grayslake North High School (2005-09) followed by Silver Lake College (2009-10). Blevins began his professional gaming career in 2009. Prior to that, he worked at the restaurant chain Noodles & Company. He’s also averaging upwards of 15K followers on a typical stream. Blevins has a large following on YouTube and social media. His YouTube channel “Ninja” has 22+ million subscribers and more than 1.9 billion views. He records and shares the bulk of his live streams on YouTube. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is about 6ft 2in tall and he’s a Gemini. He was featured in the documentary film, A Gamer’s Life (2016), directed by Anthony Daniel and Adam Huffman. His book ‘Ninja: Get Good: My Ultimate Guide to Gaming’ was published in August 2019 by Penguin Random House. Ninja married his longtime girlfriend ‘Jessica Goch’ in 2017.
