Tim Tebow is a retired American professional football player. He stands 6ft 3in tall and played the quarterback position. Tebow was born Timothy Richard Tebow on August 14, 1987, in Makati, Philippines. His parents, Pamela Elaine and Robert Ramsey were Baptist missionaries. He has four siblings, Robby, Peter, Christy, and Katie. Tebow grew up in Florida where he was homeschooled by his parents. He played sports at Allen D. Nease High School followed by the University of Florida. He graduated in 2009 with a degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences.

CAREER
Tebow began his football career with the Nease Panthers. He played the quarterback position and led the team to a state title his senior year. He also earned All-State and high school All-American honors. Tebow played four seasons with the Florida Gators (2006-09). He played off the bench as a freshman and was named the team starting quarterback his sophomore year. Tebow won the prestigious Heisman Trophy as the best all-around player in 2007. He also won the Davey O’Brien, and the Chic Harley Awards. Tebow’s college record consists of 2,947 quarterback rushing yards, 170.8 passing efficiencies, and a completion percentage of 67.1%. He led the team to two BCS Championships.

Tebow was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. He was signed to a five-year $11.25 million contract. Tebow replaced Kyle Orton as the team’s starting quarterback in 2011. He led the Broncos to the division championship game where they lost to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Tebow was traded to the New York Jets in 2012, shortly after the Broncos acquired Peyton Manning. He later played briefly for the New England Patriots (2013) followed by the Philadelphia Eagles (2015). Tebow was signed by the New York Mets to a minor league baseball contract in 2016.
