Shareef O’Neal is an American basketball player for Crossroads School. He stands 6ft 9in and plays the power forward position. He’s ranked among the best high school players in his class. Shareef Rashaun O’Neal was born on January 9, 2000, in Los Angeles, California. His father, Shaquille O’Neal, is a retired NBA player and Hall of Famer. His mother, Shaunie O’Neal, is a television personality. He has three siblings, Amirah, Shaqir, and Me’arah, and two half-siblings, Taahirah and Myles. Shareef attended Windward School followed by Crossroads School. He de-committed from Arizona in February 2018 amid an FBI investigation.

CAREER
Prior to basketball, Shareef focused his energy on skateboarding. His interest in basketball grew following a subpar performance at an Amateur Athletic Union game. He began training regularly and more intensely in his early teens. Shareef began his basketball career at Windward School in Los Angeles. He trained under coach Steve Smith. His on-court performance at the forward position garnered attention from publications like the Washington Post. He ended the season averaging 3.7 points and 2.9 rebounds. In 2015, Shareef received a scholarship offer to play for the USC Trojans. It was his first such offer from an NCAA Division I program. Similar offers followed from the likes of LSU, Baylor, Kansas State, and UCLA. However, Shareef opted to remain at Winward for his sophomore year. He was able to improve his ball-handling, defensive skills, and shooting percentage. It didn’t take long before MaxPreps scouts to take notice.

Shareef transferred to Crossroads School (Santa Monica) in mid-2016. He recorded 15 points in a January 2017 win over Brentwood School. The following month he scored 20 points in a loss to Mater Dei High School. On April 9, 2017, Shareef announced his intention to play college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. He de-committed a year later due to the FBI’s findings following an investigation. Arizona coach Sean Miller was reportedly caught discussing a $100,000 payment to sign Deandre Ayton.

Shareef O’Neal’s height is 6ft 9in and he’s of African-American ancestry. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Shareef was gifted a custom Jeep Wrangler and a Lamborghini for his 16th birthday. He was a cast member on his mom’s reality series Shaunie’s Home Court (2016).
