Sean Kingston is an American pop singer, songwriter and rapper. He was born Kisean Anderson on February 3, 1990 in Miami, Florida. His Jamaican parents are Janice Turner and Jack Ruby, Jr. He has two brothers and a sister. Kingston moved to Jamaica at age 6 and attended high school in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. He moved back to Florida in is late teen to pursue music.

CAREER
Kingston got his big break on the music and social platform, Myspace. He was discovered and signed by J.R. Rotem of Beluga Heights Records. Kingston’s debut single “Beautiful Girls” was released in May 2007 by Epic Records. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over a million copies in the US. Kingston followed up with his self titled debut album in July 2007. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA and featured the singles “Take You There”, “Me Love”, and “There’s Nothin”. He later toured with Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce.

Kingston’s second album, Tomorrow, was released in September 2009. In 2010, he collaborated with Nicki Minaj on the single “Letting Go (Dutty Love)”, and with Justin Bieber on “Eenie Meenie”. His third album, Back 2 Life, dropped in September 2013. It featured guest artists like T.I., Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes, 2 Chainz and Yo Gotti. Kingston is reportedly working on a fourth album. The album’s lead single “Wait Up” premiered in September 2015.
