Sasha Pieterse is a South African-born American actress, singer, and songwriter. She starred as “Buffy Davis” in Family Affair, and as “Alison DiLaurentis” in Pretty Little Liars. Her film credits include G.B.F (2013) and Coin Heist (2017). Pieterse was born on February 17, 1996, in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is an only child. Her parents Sean and Zizi were both professional dancers who performed overseas. Pieterse lived in Las Vegas before moving to Los Angeles to further her career. She graduated from homeschooling at age 14.

CAREER
Pieterse started out as a child model and actress. Early in her career, she appeared in campaigns for Supercuts, Macy’s, Nesquik, and Firestone Tires. She has graced the covers of Seventeen, BELLO, TeenProm, Maniac, and Naked magazine. Pieterse made her television debut in 2002 at the age of 6. She starred as “Buffy Davis” on the CBS sitcom Family Affair (2002-03). She won a Young Artist Award for her performance. In 2005 she had a recurring role as “Millie Rose” on the police drama series Wanted. Other early television appearances include Stargate SG-1, House, CSI: Miami, and Without a Trace. Pieterse is signed to Dan Franklin Music as a recording artist. Her first single “This Country Is Badass” was released in April 2013. It performed fairly well in South Africa, Ireland, and the UK. Her second single “R.P.M” was released in June 2013. It charted in Brazil and France. The official music video for R.P.M was posted to YouTube on June 13, 2013.
