Russ is an American rapper, singer/songwriter, and music producer from Atlanta, Georgia. He rose to prominence with the Billboard Hot 100 singles “What They Want” and “Losin Control”. His discography includes the Platinum-certified album, There’s Really a Wolf (2017). A second project, Zoo, arrived in September 2018. Russ has collaborated with Jessie Reyez and PnB Rock among others. He’s affiliated with the rap collective ‘Diemon Crew.’

Russell “Russ” Vitale was born on September 26, 1992, in Secaucus, New Jersey. The family lived briefly in North Carolina followed by Kentucky. They eventually settled in the state of Georgia. Russ attended Roswell High School followed by a stint at Kennesaw State University. He dropped out to focus on his music career.

Russ started out writing raps and putting together beats at an early age. He also experimented with various instruments including the guitar. His music influences include rappers 50 Cent and Eminem. Zoo, Russ’ second studio album, was released in September 2018. It spawned singles “The Flute Song”, “Missin You Crazy”, and “Serious.” Guest appearances were made by Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross. Russ has 10+ million monthly listeners on Spotify. His official YouTube channel boasts north of 1 billion views. His popularity extends to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Russ is about 5ft 6in tall and he’s of Italian descent. He has two different color eyes (iris) due to heterochromia. Russ’ net worth is estimated at $10 million USD.
