Robb Banks is an American rapper, songwriter, and social media star. He’s known for projects like Year of the Savage (2016) and C2: Death of My Teenage (2016). He’s worked with the record labels 300 Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records. Banks was born Richard O’Neil Burrell on September 24, 1994, in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Shaggy, is a reggae fusion artist. He has siblings Tyler, Kelsey, Madison, and Sydney. Banks was raised in Coral Springs, Florida, by his mom Carol Johnson. He reportedly dropped out of high school to focus on his music.

CAREER
Banks first established himself on the social site ‘Tumblr’. He began sharing his music on SoundCloud in late 2011. Some of his earliest recordings include “Counting”, “Finest” and “Look Like Basquiat”. His debut mixtape, Calendars, was released in April 2012. He followed up with the 17-tracked tape, Tha City, in October 2013. It produced the singles “On Me”, “That Sound” and “All The Way Live” featuring Lauderdale. The tape featured production from SpaceGhostPurrp and Nuri. Banks’ debut EP, 2PhoneShawty, dropped in April 2015. He collaborated with Chris Travis on No Trespassing (2015).

Banks’ long awaited studio album, Year of the Savage, arrived in August 2015. It was released on the label SS Records and distributed by Dorian Distribution. The album produced two singles “2PhoneShawty” and “Pressure”. YOTS featured guest vocals from Pouya, IndigoChildRick, Fat Nick and Famous Dex. Banks released two 2016 mixtapes; No Rooftops (2016) and C2: Death of My Teenage (2016). ‘No Rooftops’ was spearheaded by the singles “Crunchtime” and “No Roof”. ‘C2: Death of My Teenage’ featured XXXTentacion on the track “Innadat”. Over the years Banks has collaborated with artists like Sir Michael Rocks, Denzel Curry and Yung Simmie. His recent projects include Cloverfield 2.0 (2017) and 2: Pillz (2017).
