Rita Hayworth was an American film actress who gained fame during the 1930s-1940s. She appeared in over 60 films throughout her 37 years career. Known for her explosive sexual charisma, Rita was dubbed ‘the love goddess’ by the press. Her biggest success came from her role in the Technicolor musical film ‘Cover Girl’ which was released in 1944. She died in May of 1987 after battling Alzheimer’s disease.
