Rick Astley is an English pop singer and songwriter known for his 1987 hit single ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. He grew up in Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire and started his musical career singing in the local church choir. Rick Astley released his debut and best selling album ‘Whenever You Need Somebody’ in fall 1987 which sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The music video for his ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ song was the subject of the internet meme ‘Rickrolling’. He has a net worth of $8 million.
