CAREER
Angélil made his debut as a pop singer in the 1960s and was a member of the rock group, The Baronets. After the group separated he went on to manage pop artists like René Simard and Ginette Reno. He served as Celine Dion’s manager from 1981-2014. He was awarded the Félix Award for manager of the year in 1987 and 1988. Outside of music, he was a dedicated poker player and contestant in the 2005 World Series Poker Tournament.
