Ralo is an American rapper and head of the Famerica crew. His breakout single “Can’t Lie” featuring Future was released in 2015. He’s since dropped 10 mixtapes, including the ‘Famerican Gangster’ and ‘Diary of the Streets’ series. Ralo was born Terrell Davis on February 12, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised in the dangerous/impoverished neighborhood of “The Bluff.” Ralo and his younger sister were raised by their single mother. His brother, Tommy Bandz, is also a recording artist. Prior to music, Ralo had dreams of becoming an electrician. His ambition was derailed due to his multiple stints in prison. He would eventually turn to music as a way out of the drug game.
CAREER
Ralo began pursuing music seriously in 2015. His first single to blow up “Can’t Lie”, featured fellow Atlanta rapper Future. The official video did numbers, racking up 5+ million views on YouTube. It was directed by Freebandz Films. Ralo’s dropped his debut mixtape, Famerican Gangster, in April 2015. It was released on his own label Famerica Records. The tape featured Gucci Mane, 21 Savage and Young Thug among others. Future also returned for the track “My Brothers.” Ralo’s second tape, Diary of the Streets, followed in November 2015. His joint project, The Dream Team, with Young Scooter arrived in July 2016. It featured VL Deck on 7 of the 12 tracks.
The second and third installments of the ‘Diary of the Streets’ mixtape series were released in August 2016 and February 2018 respectively. ‘Famerican Gangster II’ dropped in February 2017 followed by ‘Ralo Laflare’ with Gucci Mane in July 2017. Ralo’s ‘Plugged In With The Cartel’ was released in November 2017. His more recent projects include 12 Can’t Stop Sh*t (2018) and Conspiracy (2018). The latter was released in October 2018, while he was incarcerated. It featured guest verses from YFN Lucci, Shy Glizzy and a few others.
In addition to his own label, Ralo has worked with Black Migo Gang, Cash Money Records, and Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo Records. Notable singles include “Lil Cali & Pakistan” with Lil Baby, “The Dopeman” with YFN Lucci, and “Rain Storm” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. He was featured on Rich Gang’s “Pull Up” alongside Jacquees, J-Soul, Derez Lenard and Birdman.
