Quentin Tarantino is an American screenwriter, director and producer known for his violent and unpredictable films. He was born on March 27, 1963 in Knoxville, Tennessee but moved to California at age four. He dropped out of Narbonne High School before taking acting classes at the James Best Theatre Company. He worked five years at the video rental store ‘Video Archives’ in Manhattan Beach, California.

Quentin Tarantino early scripts include ‘True Romance’ and ‘Natural Born Killers’. He made his directorial debut with the 1992 crime thriller ‘Reservoir Dogs’. The film was an instant hit and was named the ‘Greatest Independent Film of all Time’ by Empire magazine. He followed suit with ‘Pulp Fiction (1994)’ and ‘Jackie Brown (1997)’. He won an Academy Award for best original screenplay fir Pulp Fiction. His more recent works include Kill Bill, Grindhouse, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight. He won an Academy, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA award for Django’s original screenplay.
