Pete Davidson is an American actor and comedian from New York City. He’s one of the main cast members on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Davidson’s television credits include the series Guy Code, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Wild ‘N Out, and Lip Sync Battle. His films credits include Trainwreck (2015), Set It Up (2018), and What Men Want (2019).

Davidson was born on November 16, 1993, in Staten Island, New York. He has a sister named Casey. His firefighter father, Scott, died in service during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and his mother, Amy, works as a school nurse. Davidson was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease as a teenager. His medication includes the use of medical marijuana for pain relief. He also struggled with suicidal thoughts following the death of his father. He was cast as “Steven” in a 2013 episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine titled ‘The Slump’. Other early television appearances include Guy Code, Adam DeVine’s House Party and Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out. Davidson has performed stand-up on shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Comedy Underground with Dave Attell. He was dubbed one of the top-10 comics to watch in 2014 by Variety magazine.

Davidson was referred to NBC’s Saturday Night Live by actor/comedian Bill Hader. His SNL debut premiered in September 2014. He was the youngest cast member at the time. Davidson was one of the roasters on Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber and Rob Lowe in 2015 and 2016 respectively. His first stand-up special “Pete Davidson: SMD” was released in 2016.
