Peewee Longway is an American hip-hop recording artist from Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently affiliated with MPA Bandcamp Music Group and Gucci Mane‘s 1017 Records. Over the years, he released a number of hit singles, dropped various mixtapes, and made appearances on numerous songs. Some of his standout tracks, to date, include “Loaded” alongside Young Thug, “Good Crack” ft Yo Gotti, “Rerocc,” and “Jumanji.” Notable mixtapes include “The Blue M&M” series, “Mr. Blue Benjamin,” and “State of the Art.”

Real name, Quincy Lamont Williams, he was born on August 17, 1984, in Atlanta, Georgia. Peewee Longway grew up in Zone 3 district with Young Thug. In a “Vibe” interview, he describes his surroundings as every other hood. There were hustling, drug dealing, and shooting here and there, and mediocre resources. He was arrested multiple times for possessing a firearm, distributing marijuana, and driving with a suspended license.

Longway attended high school, but due to absenteeism, he did not graduate on time. However, he did graduate. Unlike many other rappers, Longway has no extensive history of rapping. He claims rapping just came to him, that God sent it. He grew up to the sounds of various hip-hop artists. Due to Longway’s affiliation to the Crips gang, a lot of his future songs and projects have the word blue in their title.

CAREER
In 2013, Peewee Longway introduced himself by dropping his first mixtape, Money, Pounds, Ammunition. The overwhelming success of the project landed him a contract with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. Prior to that, he met the rapper through his uncle who was affiliated with Gucci’s Brick Squad. Shortly after, Gucci Mane was jailed and Longway had to fend for himself. He answered by creating the MPA Bandcamp crew. Two of his hottest projects were “Loaded” alongside Young Thug, and a feature on Gucci’s “Off The Leash.”

In 2014, he alongside Gucci and Young Dolph formed the Felix Brothers. That year, Longway released standout single “Sneakin N Geekin” and was featured with Migos on Travis Scott‘s “Sloppy Toppy.” He also collaborated with Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Rich Homie Quan, and Jose Quapo. Longway released the first installment of his signature mixtape, Blue M&M. The lengthy 20-track mix became extremely popular among listeners. The White Album, his debut album, was released in June 2014.

2015 saw the release of 2 other projects, The Blue M&M 2 and Felix Brothers. Like their predecessor, they, too, were well received. Hot singles like “Good Crack” ft Yo Gotti, “I Just Want The Money,” and “Chasing” became regular nightclub bangers.

From 2016 to the present, Peewee Longway continued to wow the crowd with fresh new singles and projects. Some of his latest heat seekers are “Rerocc,” “Jumanji,” “I Can’t Get Enough,” and “On Dat Freestyle.” Longway also collaborated with NBA YoungBoy on hit single “Wat Chu Gone Do” (2017). The song has since accumulated over 16 million streams. Most of his songs are featured on WorldStarHipHop. He recently released the single, Bout It Bout It.

To Date, he has released over 13 mixtapes and counting. Some of his most notable mixes include “Mr. Blue Benjamin” (2016), “Money Pounds Ammunition Vol 3” (2016), “The Blue M&M 3” (2017), and “Spaghetti Factory” (2018). His latest project, State of the Art, released in November 2018, has 4 out of 5 stars on Datpiff with over 160k streams. Over the years, he has worked with a host of artists.
