Paul Prudhomme was an American celebrity chef and cookbook author who specialized in cajun and creole cuisines. He grew up in Louisiana and started his first restaurant, ‘Big Daddy O’s Patio’ at the age of 17. His major achievement came in 1979 with the establishment of K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen in New Orleans. In addition to cooking, Prudhomme had published several cookbooks including ‘Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Fork in the Road’ in 1993. He was 5ft 1in tall and had a net worth of $5 million. He died at the age of 75 in the fall of 2015 following a brief illness.
