O.J. Simpson aka “The Juice” is an NFL player, actor, and sportscaster. He was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife and her friend in a high-profile trial in 1995. In 2008, he was convicted and sentenced to 33 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping. He spent 9 years at the Lovelock Correctional Center, Nevada, before being released on parole in October 2017.

Simpson was born on July 9, 1947, in San Francisco, California. He developed rickets as a child and had to wear braces until age five. His accolades included 5x Pro Bowl, 5x First-team All-Pro, and 2x rushing touchdown leader.

Simpson had a successful career in both feature films and television. He appeared in early films like The Klansman (1974), Capricorn One (1978), and the ‘The Naked Gun’ trilogy. He starred in the adventure series, Frogmen, which was canceled due to his arrest. Simpson starred in several commercials for the Hertz rental car company. He also served as a commentator for Monday Night Football and The NFL on NBC.

O.J. Simpson died on April 10, 2024, at age 76. His official cause of death was prostate cancer. The Juice was first diagnosed with the disease in 2023.
