ORIGIN
Rising rapper NoCap emerged on the hip-hop scene with the viral hit single “Ghetto Angels.” The track racked up millions of streams and attracted thousands of new fans. NoCap’s completed projects include Believe It (2017), Neighborhood Hero (2018) and more recently The Backend Child (2019). He’s collaborated with Lil Baby, Rylo Rodriguez, OMB Peezy and Quando Rondo among others.

NoCap was born Kobe Vidal Crawford on August 20, 1998, in Mobile, Alabama. He has multiple siblings but grew up in a household with an older brother and older sister. Crawford started rapping at age 9 alongside his brother. Growing up, he listened to Plies and Future. He began pursuing music more seriously after graduating from Murphy High School. Crawford has lost several of his childhood friends to gun violence. He paid homage to them with the single “Ghetto Angels.”

CAREER
Like a Boss, NoCap dropped his debut track “Boss Moves” via SoundCloud in February 2017. It was produced by Juan Instrumentals. The supporting music video clocked in 150K+ views on YouTube. NoCap released his first mixtape, Believe It, in May 2017. It featured artists Yung Treasure and Foreign on tracks “In My Bag” and “Money Counter” respectively. His non-album single “Deeper” alongside Yung Gudda dropped in September 2017.

NoCap’s next project, The Leak, arrived in July 2018. It was released by Globe Lyfe Entertainment. The track-list includes “Texas Love” and “Homicide” with Rylo Rodriguez. The visual for Homicide has 730K+ views on YouTube and counting. It was directed by BMB Films. July 2018 also welcomed the mixtape, Neighborhood Hero, another release by Globe Lyfe Entertainment. The tape was supported by tracks “Let It Go”, “Change U”, “Legend” and “Exercise” featuring Rylo Rodriguez.

Frequent collaborators NoCap and Rylo Rodriguez dropped their joint tape, Rogerville, in September 2018. It boasted songs like “100 Years” and “Calling My Name.” Fellow newcomer Trenchrunner Poodie made a guest appearance on the track “The Boot.” In September 2018, NoCap and Quando Rondo joined forces on the single “Spaceship Vibes.” It attracted 900K+ SoundCloud Spins and 1.5+ million YouTube views in the first 8 months. NoCap was featured on the single “Dreams 2 Reality” from Lil Baby’s album Street Gossip (2018). He closed out 2018 with the single “Point Guard.”

In 2019, NoCap released songs “Mood Swings”, “Punching Bag”, “Free Ghetto” and “No Patience” with Polo G and CashMoneyAP. He collaborated with Slim on “November 14”, and later appeared on Yung Honcho’s single “Upset” opposite Kevo Muney. NoCap’s 14-track tape, The Backend Child, was released in May 2019. The project was led by singles “Ghetto Angels” and “Blind Nights.” The Backend Child featured guest appearances from Rylo Rodriguez, OMB Peezy, and Quando Rondo.
