Nikki Bella is an American former professional wrestler with the WWE (SmackDown). Her wrestling career highlights include 2x WWE Divas Champion and Rolling Stone’s 2015 Diva of the Year. She’s the longest reigning Divas champion in the title’s history. In addition to wrestling, Bella is an actress, model, and licensed real estate agent. Her screen credits include the reality series Total Divas, Total Bellas, and Dancing with the Stars.

Bella was born Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace on November 21, 1983, in San Diego, California. She has a twin sister, Brianna “Brie” Bella, and together they form The Bella Twins. Her parents are Jon Garcia and Kathy Colace. She also has a brother named JJ Garcia. Bella was raised on a farm in Scottsdale, Arizona. She played soccer in elementary school and she’s a graduate of Chaparral High School. She studied briefly at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California.

CAREER
The Bella sisters tried out unsuccessfully for the 2006 WWE Raw Diva Search. They signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in Spring 2007. They were assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) in Tampa, Florida. Dubbed “The Bella Twins”, the duo defeated Nattie Neidhart and Krissy Vaine in their September 2007 debut. They’ve competed in the FCW, Divas Championship, NXT, and in various storylines. They were named Choice Female Athlete at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards.

Nikki made her SmackDown debut in November 2008. She won her first WWE Divas Champion belt in April 2012. During her second reign as Divas Champion, she held the title for a record 301 days. Nikki topped the 2015 issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated Female 50. That same year she was named ‘Diva of the Year’ by Rolling Stone. In March 2019, the Bella sisters announced their retirement from wrestling.

Outside of wrestling, Nikki is an actress and model. She made her national television debut in the Fox reality series Meet My Folks. She appeared alongside her twin sister in a Budweiser campaign holding the FIFA World Cup trophy. Nikki and Brie currently star in the reality series Total Divas. The show premiered on E! in July 2013. Six seasons have been completed as of May 2017.

The twin stars in the spin-off Total Bellas. Their film credits include Confessions of a Womanizer (2014) with Gary Busey and The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown! (2015) with Jeff Bergman. They’ve also appeared on the television programs Ridiculousness and Psych. Nikki was a contestant on season 25 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev. Her more recent TV credits include Celebrity Ninja Warrior, and Drop the Mic.

Bella married her high school sweetheart in 2004. The marriage was annulled in 2007. She dated Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth) from 2008 to 2011. Bella and wrestler John Cena began a relationship in 2012.
