Nav is a Canadian-born Hip Hop artist and record producer. He is currently signed to XO and Republic Records. Real name Navraj Singh Goraya, he was born on November 3, 1989, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His parents migrated from Punjab, India, and settled in Canada. At an early age, Nav became interested in music. One of his first role models was his uncle who was a renowned singer in India. His uncle sparked his musical interest and introduced him to life inside the studio booth. Throughout high school, Nav started producing music. He started making beats for local artists and began building a name for himself on the musical platform Soundcloud

CAREER

Throughout 2015, Nav’s musical career rose to a new height. He saw other successful Canadian artists such as Drake and The Weeknd and decided to take his music to a whole new level. One of his first single “Take Me Simple” reached millions of ears on SoundCloud. Later on that year, Nav collaborated with Drake and experienced a taste of fame. In 2016, his singles “Take Me Simple” and “The Man” was broadcasted on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio. Instantly, he was exposed to a world of mainstream listeners.

Another big break would come from Kylie Jenner after she posted a video of herself bumping to a Nav track. He collaborated with Travis Scott on “Beibs in the Trap” and produced a Billboard Hot 100 hit. The song peaked at #90 and eventually went platinum. As time went by, Nav’s fan base was increasing rapidly. In 2017, he would sign with XO and Republic Records. He would go on to release various mixtapes featuring his hottest singles “Myself” and “Some Way” featuring The Weeknd. Nav’s latest project “Perfect Timing” features new upcoming artists such as Offset, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti.
