ORIGIN
Nacho is a Venezuelan reggaeton/pop singer, composer, and political activist. From 2007 to 2017, he was a member of the Latin pop duo Chino & Nacho. Together, they released five albums and did numerous tours. As a solo artist, his debut single “Bailame” landed in the upper tier of the US Latin Pop chart. Miguel Ignacio Mendoza Donatti was born on August 22, 1983, in Lecheria, Anzoategui, Venezuela. Growing up, he studied social communication alongside law and electrical engineering. From a young age, Nacho got involved in the music business. He was a member of the music group “Los Ninos Del Swing,” “Equilibrio,” and “Calle Ciega.” As his career flourishes, he would explore ways in which he could give back to his community.

CAREER
Nacho officially got his feet wet by joining “Los Ninos Del Swing.” For many years, they would tour and perform throughout Venezuela. Shortly after, along with friends, he formed the group “Equilibrio.” His exceptional talent was noticed by Johnny Nunez who invited him to the music group “Calle Ciega.” From 2003 to 2006, Nacho worked with the group before forming his own clique.

In 2007, Nacho and Jesus “Chino” Miranda, also a member of “Calle Ciega,” formed the pop duo Chino & Nacho. The duo wasted no time; releasing a number of Latino hits. Working with producers like Richy Pena, Noriega, and Don Omar, the group successfully released several albums. Notable songs include the likes of “Mi Nina Bonita”, “Tu angelito”, “El poeta”, “Lo que no sabes tu”, “Bebe bonita”, “Me voy enamorando”, and others. As their fanbase expanded, they worked with the act of Farruko and Daddy Yankee. Over a period of 10 yrs, Chino & Nacho have successfully released 5 albums along with various singles. They are also the recipient of numerous accolades. They have won a Latin Grammy award, 5 Lo Nuestro Awards, numerous Pepsi Music Awards, and have been nominated for a host more.

In 2017, Chino & Nacho announced that they would be taking a break from duo activities. Nacho admitted that, due to the demands of the group, he wasn’t spending enough time with his family. Kicking off his career as a solo artist, Nacho signed a record deal with Universal Music Group. His debut solo single “Bailame” peaked at #6 on the US Latin Pop chart. Other releases include “Happy Happy”, “Sigueme Bailando”, “Tu Quiero Mas”, and “Romance.” In recent work, Nacho’s single “No Te Vas” has received over 13 million YouTube views in less than 2 weeks. His social media presence is also noticeable as his Instagram account boasts almost 9 million followers.

Nacho’s height is around 5ft 6in. His personal net worth is estimated at $5 million. He is married to Inger Devera. Together they have 3 children (Miguel, Santiago, and Matias).
