Milo Yiannopoulos is a British Journalist, broadcaster, author, and entrepreneur. He’s the founder of The Kernel and a senior editor for Breitbart News. Yiannopoulos was born on October 18, 1984, in Athens, Greece. He was raised by his mother in Kent, England. Yiannopoulos attended Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys followed by the University of Manchester. He also studied English literature briefly at Wolfson College, Cambridge University. He dropped out before completing a degree.

CAREER
Yiannopoulos began his career as a journalist in 2007. He gravitated towards technology journalism during his tenure with The Daily Telegraph. He was responsible for ‘The Telegraph Tech Start-Up 100’ which ranks tech start-ups in Europe. The company has since been dissolved. Yiannopoulos has appeared on various programs including Sky News, BBC Breakfast, Newsnight, and The Big Questions. He’s debated topics such as gay marriage and intellectual property.

Yiannopoulos gained further attention as the founder of The Kernel. The company was an online tabloid magazine about technology. The Kernel was sold to the Daily Dot Media in 2014. Yiannopoulos was actively involved in the coverage of the Gamergate controversy which started in the Summer of 2014. During this time he provided media coverage and commentary. Yiannopoulos became a technology editor at Breitbart News in October 2015. Three months later he launched the Yiannopoulos Privilege Grant with the goal of assisting disadvantaged young men.

Yiannopoulos had signed a $250,000 book deal with Simon & Schuster for his autobiography “Dangerous” in December 2016. The deal went south and was canceled in February 2017. Yiannopoulos previously self-published his 2007 poetry book, Eskimo Papoose. It was written under the pen name Milo Andreas Wagner. He came under fire because the book contained unattributed lyrics from Tori Amos, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.
