Meghan Markle is an American actress, model, humanitarian, and the founder of TheTIG. She starred as “Rachel Zane” in the drama series Suits. Rachel Meghan Markle was born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. Her father Thomas is a retired cinematographer who worked on the series Married with Children. Markle attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in Theater and International Relations. Markle worked at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires prior to acting. She also worked as a freelance calligrapher.

CAREER
Markle made her television debut in a 2002 episode of General Hospital. She made guest appearances in the series Cuts, The War at Home, CSI: NY, and 90210. She was featured on the NBC game show ‘Deal or No Deal’ in 2007. Markle guest-starred as “Amy Jessup”, a junior FBI agent in the series Fringe (2009). In 2011, she landed the lead role as “Rachel Zane” in the drama series Suits. The show premiered on the USA network on June 23, 2011. Markle had a small role in the film Get Him to the Greek (2010) starring Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. Her film credits also include Remember Me (2010) with Robert Pattinson, and Horrible Bosses (2011) with Jason Bateman.

Markle was named Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada in 2016. She is an advocate for the United Nations Women.
