Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer and the first and only eight-division world champion. He was born on December 17, 1978 in Kibawe, Bukidnon. He moved to Manila as a teenager in an effort to pursue boxing. He made his professional debut in 1995 against Edmund Ignacio. Pacquiao won his first major championship in 1998 defeating Chatchai Sasakul of Thailand. He went on to win ten world titles, and the lineal championship in four different weight class. He was awarded the BWAA Fighter of the Year award in 2006, 2008, and 2009. He married Jinkee Jamora in 2000 and they had five children together. Pacquiao was named the second highest paid athlete of 2015 following his bout with Floyd Mayweather. He was elected to the Philippine House of Representatives in 2010 and again in 2013. Manny Pacquiao is still alive and his estimated net worth is $190 million.
