Malia Ann Obama is the eldest child of the 44th president of the U.S. ‘Barack Obama‘ and former First Lady ‘Michelle Obama‘. She’s currently enrolled at Harvard University. Malia was born on July 4, 1998 in Hyde Park, Chicago. Her younger sister, Natasha aka Sasha, was born on June 10, 2001. Malia plays a handful of sports including soccer and tennis. Her accolades include the Gatorade Player of the Year Award. She also enjoys playing the piano, dance and drama.

CAREER
Malia attended the private University of Chicago Laboratory School. The family moved to Washington D.C in 2009. She continued her education at Sidwell Friends School. Notable graduates of Sidwell Friends School include Chelsea Clinton, Archibald Roosevelt and Tricia Nixon Cox. In 2014, Malia and Sasha were named among the most influential teens by Time magazine. Post high school, Malia interned for film producer Harvey Weinstein at the now defunct The Weinstein Company. The company declared bankruptcy and closed its doors in July 2018. Coming off her gap-year, Malia enrolled at Harvard University in Fall 2017. Her college major has not been disclosed.
