Louis Tomlinson is an English singer, songwriter and oldest member of the popular boy band, One Direction. He was born Louis Troy Austin on December 24, 1991 in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. His parents Johannah Poulston and Troy Austin divorced when he was young. Tomlinson attended the Hayfield School followed by Hall Cross Academy. He played the lead role as “Danny Zuko” in the Hall Cross musical production of Grease.

CAREER
Tomlinson made his acting debut as an extra in the drama series ‘Fat Friends’ on ITV Network. His early television roles included ‘If I Had You’ and ‘Waterloo Road’. He auditioned for The X-Factor in 2009 and again in 2010. He was given another chance in his second attempt as a member of a five man group with Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles. The group ‘One Direction’ finished in third place and was offered a recording contract by Simon Cowell’s Syco Records. The group’s debut studio album ‘Up All Night’ was released in 2011 followed by their second album ‘Take Me Home’ in 2012. Tomlinson was signed as a footballer to Doncaster Rovers Football Club on a non-contract basis in 2013. He’s supported various charities over the years including the ‘Bluebell Wood Charity’ and ‘Niamh’s Next Step’.
