Lonr. is an American songwriter turned singer from Los Angeles, California His breakout single “A.M.” arrived in late 2019. A second track “Safe Zone” followed closely thereafter. Lonr. is signed to Epic Records and he’s managed by MBK Entertainment. He picked up 2 Grammy Award nominations for his songwriting contribution to H.E.R. 2019 discography. Since his debut, he’s also shared the stage with acts like Souly Had, Jhene Aiko, Daniel Caesar, and Kiana Lede among others.

Lonr. was born Elijah Dias on April 19, 1997, in Los Angeles, California. At age 8, he moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He admitted that his neighborhood was tough and lacked diversity. Growing up, Lonr. always felt like a “loner” or the “odd one out.” He quietly turned to music and beat-making for solace and for a way of escaping to his own internal space. When asked, he cited prominent acts like Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The Creator and OutKast as inspiration. He also drew insight from film scores and soundtracks.

CAREER
Lonr. worked behind the scenes for much of his early career. He spent countless hours mastering the art of songwriting and music production. The “Lonr” moniker stands for “Land Of Nothing Real.” In 2017, Lonr. was recruited by R&B singer H.E.R. as a songwriter. He penned several popular tracks for her, including “As I AM”, “Feel A Way” and “Take You There.” Working with H.E.R. has resulted in two Grammy Award nominations. He also performed at H.E.R.’s Lights On festival in Concord, California.

Lonr.’s debut solo single “A.M.” was released in September 2019. He wrote the party track upon returning to Los Angeles, one of his few visits since leaving as a kid. Though it didn’t blow up immediately, Lonr. capitalized on the power of social media for virality. The party anthem now has more than 1.5 million videos on TikTok alone. It has garnered good placement on Spotify among other streaming platforms. The music video for ‘A.M.’ dropped on October 3, 2019. It was directed by Roxana Baldovin.

Lonr. talks relationship in his next single titled “Safe Zone”, released on November 23, 2019. The trap-influenced song features a dynamic guitar lead. In November 2019, Lonr. performed at SOB’s in New York City as part of Souly Had’s “B.L.I.S.S.” Tour. He shared the stage with Souly Had and 12 AM. Lonr.’s debut EP, Land Of Nothing Real, is slated for early 2020. It will be released via Epic Records. In addition to the aforementioned singles, the project will include a song called “Turn.”
