Lolo Jones is an American track and field athlete and bobsledder. She has competed in both the Winter Olympic (2014) and Summer Olympic (2008, 2012) games. Her accolades include 2x World Indoor championships, a NACAC Championship, and a World Championship (Bobsleigh). Jones specializes in the 60-meter and 100-meter hurdles. Given name, Lori Susan Jones, she was born on August 5, 1982, in Des Moines, Iowa. One of five children, she was raised by a single mother with who she shares the same first name. Growing up, the family struggled and had to relocate several times. Jones stayed with 4 different families while attending Roosevelt High School. Despite her living arrangements, she excelled academically, mastered the cello, and showed great promise as a hurdler. She was named Gatorade Midwest Athlete of the Year.

CAREER
Jones continued her studies and athletic career at Louisiana State University. In 2002, she competed and won the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. She followed up with back-to-back championships at the 2003 and 2004 NCAA Championships for the 60-meter hurdles. As a professional, Jones won the 2008 and 2010 World Indoor Championships for the 60-meter hurdles. She took home silver for the 100-meter hurdles at the 2010 Continental Cup.

Jones made her Summer Olympic debut at the 2008 games in Beijing, China. She finished in 7th place after stumbling during the 100-meter hurdle event. Her second trip to the Olympics followed in 2012 in London, United Kingdom. She finished 4th behind Kellie Wells. In addition to hurdling, Jones is a competitive bobsledder. She was introduced to sports by Elana Meyers. Jones won gold at the 2013 World Championships (mixed team event). She represented Team USA at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

Off the field, Jones has been featured in publications like Outside magazine and ESPN The Magazine. She was a contestant on season 19 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Her acting credits include Left Behind (2014) with Nicolas Cage, Navy Seals vs. Zombies (2015), and the mini-series ‘Global Games.’ Jones returns to television in January 2019 as a house guest on Celebrity Big Brother (season 2). She joins fellow athletes Eva Marie, Ricky Williams and Ryan Lochte. Season 2 premiers on CBS on January 21, 2019.
