Lil Blurry is an up-and-coming American rapper out of San Francisco, California. In 2018, he acquired fame after releasing singles “Emotions” and “Now I Made It”. He is currently signed with Boosie‘s Bad Azz Music Syndicate. Lil Blurry was born on September 1, 2005, in San Francisco, California. Before he could even form proper sentences, he showed great interest in music. Between the ages of 3 and 4, he began playing the drum, piano, and guitar.

In 3rd grade, he uploaded his first video on YouTube. The video, a piano cover, demonstrated his gifted abilities. Two years later, in 5th grade, he released his debut single on SoundCloud. 11 at the time, he released the track under former moniker Icy Haden. Despite just uploading for fun, he admits to acknowledging the 100 plays it received. In 2018, two years later, he began taking his craft more seriously. He changed his name and hired a manager. To avoid the chaos at school, he stopped attending and started homeschooling. He grew up listening to a lot of rock music. When asked who inspires him, he mentions Chief Keef and Lil Yachty.

CAREER
In May 2018, Lil Blurry released his breakout single “Emotion.” Produced by Xtravulous, the track became quite popular on SoundCloud. In 6 months, it received +600k playbacks. The music video, uploaded on YouTube in June 2018, has racked up another +700k views in 3 months. His Instagram fanbase also received a boost after, internet personality, Supreme Patty commented on his song.

Lil Blurry followed up by releasing another banger “Now I Made It.” Piggybacking off its predecessor success, the song, produced by Fly Melodies, acquired more plays on SoundCloud than his first. The later released music video quickly grabbed +230k views in 2 days.

After securing a manager, Lil Blurry got the DM that changed his life. His music caught the attention of hip-hop mogul, Boosie Badass. They exchanged messages over Instagram and eventually met in person. Convinced by his young talent, Boosie signed him to his record label (Sept 2018). Their debut project is still in the works. Lil Blurry has worked with Skinnyfromthe9 and DJ Akademiks.
