Kim Porter was an American model and actress. She dated rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for 10+ years and they had 3 children. Her screen credits include the series Wicked Wicked Games (2006-07), and the films The Brothers (2001) and Mama I Want to Sing (2011). Porter was born on December 15, 1970, in Columbus, Georgia. She was raised by her mother Sarah L. Porter. She attended Columbus High School and graduated in 1988.

CAREER
Porter began her modeling career in her hometown of Columbus. Post high school, she moved to neighboring Atlanta, Georgia, to further pursue her career in modeling. Porter was the founder of “Three Brown Girls.” The other two members were Eboni Elektra and Nicole Johnson. She was also a member of the girl group “Girl 6.” During her tenure, she appeared on magazine covers like Runway, Jet, and Essence. She worked with brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Revlon, and modeled in fashion shows. In addition to modeling, Porter had some success as an actress. Her film debut was the comedy-drama, The Brothers (2001), starring Morris Chestnut, Shemar Moore, and D.L. Hughley. She followed up with a small role in the drama, The System Within (2006).

Porter was cast as “Violet Walker” on the drama series Wicked Wicked Games (2006-07). She guest-starred as “Jasmine” in the pilot episode for Single Ladies (2011). Kim Porter died on November 15, 2018, at the age of 47. Her official cause of death was pneumonia. She was found unresponsive in her home in San Fernando Valley in Toluca Lake, California. Porter’s untimely passing took the entertainment industry by surprise. Scores of celebrities took to social media to voice their grief and to send their support to her family and friends.
