Key Glock is an upcoming rapper from southern Memphis, Tennessee. His debut mixtape “Glock Season” created quite the buzz and brought him into the limelight. Another exceptional project “Glock Bond,” released in early 2018, featured one of his biggest hits to date; “Russian Cream.” Officially named Markeyvius Cathey, he was born on August 3, 1997, in Memphis, Tennessee. Key Glock grew up in an unstable household as his mother was constantly in and out of jail. His father was also not a fixture in his life. Key Glock grew up with his grandmother who made an effort to keep the family intact. Like many other rappers, Key Glock traced his roots to the streets. He too would have run-ins with the law. That year, he released his debut mixtape “Glock Season.” The 12-track head-turner performed extremely well and rewarded Key Glock with much-needed exposure. His musical flow earned him recognition as one of the best new lyricists to emerge from Memphis.

Key Glock’s 2018 mixtape “Glock Bond” would catapult the artist to a new level. The mixtape featured his biggest hit single “Russian Cream.” The track displays Gluck’s lyrical flow at the highest level. Since its release in January 2018, the song has accumulated over 10 million views on YouTube. If it wasn’t obvious before, it was now clear that Key Glock is a new upcoming talent. Astonishingly, Glock’s songs featured no one. He produces his music solo and refuses to collaborate with other artists. When questioned about the subject, he explained that he wants to produce music his way. In recent work, Key Glock was featured on Young Dolph’s new single “Major.” The track has already accumulated well over 3 million views on YouTube in the first week.
