Kevin Randleman was an American MMA fighter and former UFC champion. He was born on August 10, 1971, in Sandusky, Ohio. He attended Sandusky High School where he participated in wrestling, football, and track. He continued his wrestling career at Ohio State University earning All-American status his freshman year. He won the NCAA tournament as a sophomore and again as a junior.
CAREER
Randleman made his MMA debut on October 22, 1996, in the Universal Vale Tudo Fighting. He later competed in the UFC, PRIDE, WVR, and Strikeforce. He became UFC Heavyweight champion in 1999 with a victory over Pete Williams. In 2002, he competed in All Japan Pro Wrestling under the tutelage of Mark Coleman. Kevin “The Monster” Randleman retired from professional fighting in 2011. He was inducted into the Ohio State Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Sandusky High School Hall of Fame in 2006.
