Kate Flannery is an American television actress from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She starred as “Meredith Palmer” on the hit NBC sitcom The Office. Her TV credits include Young Sheldon, American Housewife, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Jessie. Flannery’s had small roles in the films At the Devil’s Door (2014), Cooties (2014), and 4th Man Out (2015). She lent her voice to the animated series ‘OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes’ and ‘Steven Universe.’

Katherine Patricia Flannery was born to Tom and Joan Flannery on June 10, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has 6 siblings, including a twin sister. One of her brothers is named Butch. The family owns a bar in Philly called TA Flannery’s. Kate attended Archbishop John Carroll High School followed by Shenandoah University. She graduated with a BA degree in Theater Arts from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Kate once worked as a waitress in Beverly Hills. She left the job after season one of The Office.

CAREER
Prior to television, Flannery did improvisational acting. She was a member of The Second City’s National Touring Company. Additionally, she appeared in more than 15 shows as a member of Chicago’s Annoyance Theater. Notable shows include ‘The Miss Vagina Pageant’ and ‘The Real Live Brady Bunch’, in which she played “Mrs. Brady.” In 2001, Flannery premiered her cult comedy act ‘The Lampshades’ alongside Scot Robinson. She’s performed the act at numerous venues, including the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado.

In 1999, Flannery made her film debut in ‘Can’t Stop Dancing’ and ‘Trick.’ She followed up with bit roles in Life Without Dick (2002) starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and Carolina (2003) with Julia Stiles. In addition to television, Flannery is known for her stage work. She began touring with Jane Lynch in 2013 on her show See Jane Sing with Tim Davis and the Tony Guerrero Quintet. They performed in over 30 cities, including the Borgata, Joe’s Pub, and the Kennedy Center. She was later featured on Jane Lynch’s album A Swingin’ Little Christmas (2016). Flannery performed throughout New York on Nora Ephron’s ‘Love, Loss, and What I Wore.’ Her stage credits also include Valley of the Dolls, The Phacts of Life, and Three Feet Under.
