Jonah Hill is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He starred as “Morton Schmidt” in 21 Jump Street (2012) and its sequel. His film credits include and Superbad (2007), Get Him to the Greek (2010), and War Dogs (2016). He received Oscar nominations for the films The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) and Moneyball (2011). Jonah Hill Feldstein was born on December 20, 1983, in Los Angeles, California. His father, Richard, was a tour accountant, and his mother, Sharon, a stylist and costume designer. He has a sister, Beanie, and a brother, Jordan (d. 2017). Hill attended Brentwood School and graduated from Crossroads School in 2002. He studied drama at The New School in New York City.

Hill started out writing and performing in plays at The New School. He was childhood friends with Dustin Hoffman‘s children Rebecca and Jake. His film debut was the comedy-drama, I Heart Huckabees (2004). He followed up with a small role in Judd Apatow’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) starring Steve Carell. He appeared alongside Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up (2007). Hill starred as “Seth” opposite Michael Cera in the teen comedy, Superbad (2007). His performance earned him nominations for a Teen Choice and an MTV Movie Award. He was named to the 2008 issue of Entertainment Weekly’s “30 Under 30” actors list.

Hill had the title role in the comedy-drama, Cyrus (2010). He co-starred as “Morton Schmidt” alongside Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street (2012). The role was reprised 2 years later in 22 Jump Street (2014). Hill received Academy Award nominations for best-supporting actor for the films Moneyball (2011) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013). He portrayed arms dealer “Efraim Diveroli” in War Dogs (2016). Other notable films include Accepted (2006) with Justin Long, Get Him to the Greek (2010) with Russell Brand, and This Is the End (2013) with James Franco. He lent his voice to the animated films How to Train Your Dragon (2010), Sausage Party (2016), and The Lego Batman Movie (2017). Hill’s television credits include Wainy Days, NYPD Blue, Reno 911!, and Saturday Night Live. He served as a producer on Bruno (2009), The Sitter (2011), and Why Him? (2016). His directorial debut ‘Mid-90s’ is currently in production.
