ORIGIN 
Jishnu Raghavan Alingkil was an Indian Malayalam film actor. He was born to parents Raghavan and Shobha on April 23, 1979 in Kannur, Kerala. His father ‘Raghavan’ is also an actor. Jishnu attended school in Madras and later studied in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Trivandrum. He earned his Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
CAREER
Jishnu’s first screen appearance was in the 1987 film, Kilipattu. He was eight years old at the time. He returned to the big screen 15 years later with a starring role in the 2002 Malayalam film, Nammal. He played the character “Sivan” and was awarded the Mathrubhumi Award and Kerala Film Critics Award. In 2012, Jishnu starred in the comedy drama film ‘Ordinary’ alongside Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon and Asif Ali. Other notable screen appearances include Choonda (2003), Parayam (2005), Banking Hours 10 to 4 (2012), and Annum Innum Ennum (2013).

Jishnu died on March 25, 2016 at the age of 36. His reported cause of death was cancer. He was diagnosed with the deadly disease two years prior. Jishnu is survived by his wife, Dhanya Rajan.
