Jimmy Bennett is an American actor, singer, and guitarist. He starred as “JJ Powell” on the ABC comedy-drama series No Ordinary Family (2010-11). His film credits include Hostage (2005), Poseidon (2006), Orphan (2009), and Star Trek (2009). He’s also done voice roles for both television and film. Bennett was born James Michael Bennett on February 9, 1996, in Seal Beach, California. His mother’s name is Martha. He has a sister named Amanda. Bennett has more than 25 commercial appearances to his name. His television debut was a 2002 episode of the Lifetime medical drama series Strong Medicine. Other television appearances followed in The Guardian, Judging Amy, Everwood, Gilmore Girls, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He voiced the character “Rerun van Pelt” for the TV special He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown (2006). Bennett’s big-screen debut was the comedy Daddy Day Care (2003) starring Eddie Murphy. He was cast as “Tony”, a boy who wanted to be the superhero Flash.
