Jay Electronica is an American rapper and music producer. He was born Timothy Elpadaro Thedford on September 19, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He left New Orleans in his late teen and began performing on various stages across the United States. He was introduced to record producers J. Dilla and Mr. Porter while in Detroit.
CAREER
Electronica drew attention when his ‘Act 1: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge)’ was published on Myspace in 2007. He followed suit with the release of the singles “Exhibit A” and “Exhibit C” in 2009. The single “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace” was released in 2010 and featured sounds from rapper P Diddy. Electronica was signed to Jay Z‘s Roc Nation imprint in late 2010. His debut studio album “Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn)” was supposedly completed in 2011 but hasn’t been released yet.
