Jay Critch is an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He’s a member of Rich The Kid‘s label Rich Forever Music. The two collaborated on the single “Did It Again” remix. Critch’s other standout songs include “Fashion”, “Speak Up”, “Bottom Line” and “Ego.” His debut mixtape, Hood Favorite, was released in 2018. The project featured Offset, French Montana and Fabolous. Given the name Jason Critchlow, he was born on February 25, 1997, in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised alongside an older brother and a younger sister in the neighborhood of Clinton Hills.

CAREER
Critch grew up to the sounds of Fabolous, Lil Wayne and Jay Z. He began posting his own raps to SoundCloud in 2015. One of his earliest tracks “Man Down” featuring Rowdy Rebel was uploaded in June 2015. It was produced by Laronisaloser. Other early uploads include “Take Sumn”, “Affiliated”, “Hennything” and “FIFA” featuring Damii. Critch’s breakout single “Did It Again” was released in July 2016. Critch followed up with singles “Fashion” and “In And Out.” He collaborated with labelmate Famous Dex on the track “Pull Up.” He’s also worked with artists like Don Q, MadeinTYO, Lar$$en and Warhol.ss.

Hood Favorite, Critch’s debut mixtape, was released in November 2018 by Rich Forever Music and Interscope Records. It was led by songs “Ego”, “Smutty (Intro)” and “Brown Hair.” The tape featured Offset on the track “Quicker”, and French Montana and Fabolous on “Try It.” Hood Favorite featured production from fellow Brooklyn native Laron. Critch was featured on “Like Mike” from Rich The Kid’s The World Is Yours 2 (2019). He lent his vocal to Lil Tjay‘s single “Ruthless”, released in May 2019. The joint single “Party Bus” with Rich The Kid and Famous Dex arrived in June 2019.
