IShowSpeed is an American YouTube star originally from Ohio. He’s made a name for himself posting gaming content (NBA 2K, Fortnite, Five Nights at Freddy’s…), IRL basketball videos, Livestream, and other miscellaneous entertainment videos. The channel crossed 2 million subs and 40 million views in July 2021. Additionally, Speed is active on Instagram and Snapchat. He streams sporadically on Twitch. IShowSpeed was born Darren Watkins on January 21, 2005.

CAREER
Watkins was only 11 when he launched the YouTube channel IShowSpeed (March 2016). He remained silent for well over a year before posting his first video “2K18” in December 2017. He would eventually gain an audience with his 2K20 basketball videos. In addition to the NBA 2K video game series, Darren found success playing/sharing Fortnite Battle Royale and Five Nights at Freddy’s among other popular gaming titles.

The year 2021 saw a massive uptick in Darren’s subscriber count. The ‘IShowSpeed’ crossed the 1 million mark on June 30, 2021. It now has 12.8+ million subs and 900+ million views.
