ORIGIN
Icy Narco is an American rapper and songwriter hailing from Miami, Florida. He became well known after releasing singles “Link”, “Numb & Frozen”, and “Viagra Niagra.” Real name, Rolando Gomez, he was born on June 23, 1998, in the Sunshine State. Icy Narco is said to be of Cuban ancestry. He grew up facing life obstacles and having to fend for himself. Hustling for money through whatever means, he sold narcotics and even rob people. Eventually, he landed a stable job working in a Cold Stone restaurant.

Icy Narco began rapping in high school. He recalled battling friends and building a small reputation. At the age of 15, he scripted his first song. He grew up listening to Kanye West, Chief Keef, Young Thug, and Lil Uzi Vert. His music was influenced by Linkin Park, NAV, and Uzi. Icy Narco’s music incorporates a broad genre of sounds. From rock to country and hip-hop, his songs are not your typical jam. Although he’s been freestyling for years, it wasn’t until 2017 that he decided to pursue music seriously.

CAREER
In 2017, Icy Narco started uploading music on SoundCloud. Unlike many young rappers, he chose quality over quantity. Some of his earliest standout tracks include “You”, “Viagra Niagra”, and “Snowman.” He also got unusual attention from his remix of 21 Savage‘s “Bank Account” and Ronny J’s produced freestyle “#RonnyJIKilledThis.” After gaining much attention online, with the saved money, he moved to Los Angeles to explore new opportunities. There, he worked with Jimmy Duval and met with music executive Elliot Grainge. Within a month, Icy Narco was signed to 10K Projects label, home to Trippie Redd and Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Under the label, Icy Narco released two of his hottest singles: “Link” and “Numb & Frozen.” Released in June and July of 2018 respectively, they have a combined YouTube view count of over 7 million. Icy Narco’s debut album “Frozen Fable” is set to be released in the coming months. In November 2017, prior to the fame, Icy Narco made news for his altercation with Lil Pump. On another occasion, he also got into it with Chicago rapper, FBG Duck.

Icy Narco’s height is 5ft 6in. His net worth is estimated at $1 Million UDS. His lyrical flow has been compared to the likes of Lil Pump. He claims he doesn’t want to go mainstream with his music as such rappers lack real emotion and meaningful music. That would explain his small SoundCloud music catalog.
