HoodCelebrityy is a Jamaican-born trap/reggae artist, singer, and songwriter. She’s best known for the 2017 single “Walking Trophy”. Her debut mixtape, Trap Vs. Reggae, was released in 2017. She inked a contract with Epic Records in May 2018. HoodCelebrityy was born Tina Pinnock on July 5, 1991, in St. Catherine, Jamaica. She was raised in the coastal town of Portmore, where she developed an interest in reggae music/culture. Pinnock relocated to the Bronx, United States, at the age of 12. She focused on music and dance during high school. She also took violin classes.

CAREER
Prior to music, Pinnock worked at a prominent clothing store on Fordham Road in the Bronx. The moniker “HoodCelebrityy” was born from her popularity with customers and from her building a positive reputation in the streets. In 2016, HoodCelebrityy released songs like “Gun Shot”, “So Good Right Now” and “The Takeover”. The official video for ‘The Takeover’ featuring Hennessy Carolina was released in December 2016. It was directed and edited by Mazi O. HoodCelebrityy has since opened for the likes of Shaggy, Barrington Levy, and Cardi B. Her mixtape, Trap vs. Reggae, arrived in August 2017. It includes songs like “Island Girls”, “Motivation” and “Vybez”. The tape featured production from DJ SwanQo, Jwhite Did It, and a few others. HoodCelebrityy closed out the year with the single “Walking Trophy”, released in November 2017. It racked up 4.8+ million spins on SoundCloud plus another 8+ views on YouTube. Speaking of YouTube, HoodCelebrityy has 270K+ subscribers and more than 103 million video views. She also has thousands of fans across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

In May 2018, HoodCelebrityy inked a major label deal with Epic Records. Her second project, Inna Real Life, dropped in August 2018. It featured Fabolous and Trey Songz on “Walking Trophy (Remix).” HoodCelebrityy’s next project, You Know the Vibez, arrived in October 2019. It was supported by the single “Bum Pon It.” The corresponding visual for Bum Pon It has 12+ million views. It was directed by Boy Vano. In March 2020, HoodCelebrityy released her single “Run Di Road.” It was inspired by the 1992 song “Murder She Wrote” by Chaka Demus and Pliers.
