Harrison Ford is an American actor and producer known for his role in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films. He was born on July 13, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the Boy Scout of America and a graduate of Maine East High School. He studied at Ripon College in Wisconsin but dropped out before completing his degree. He moved to California in 1964 and worked for Columbia Pictures playing bit roles in films.
CAREER
Ford played his first credited role in the 1967 western film, A Time for Killing. He auditioned for filmmaker George Lucas and later appeared in the 1973 drama, American Graffiti. He went on to play his first starring role as “Han Solo” in Star Wars (1977). After several successful sequels, the “Han Solo” character was killed off in ‘The Force Awakens‘. Ford gained further popularity with his role in the Indiana Jones franchise starting with ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ in 1981.
