ORIGIN
Farruko is a Puerto Rican reggaeton/Latin pop singer and songwriter. His discography includes the albums El Talento Del Bloque (2010), Los Menores (2014), and TrapXficante (2017). He’s collaborated with the likes of Daddy Yankee, J Alvarez, and Shaggy. Farruko was born Carlos Efren Reyes Rosado on May 2, 1991 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He began pursuing music in his mid-teens. His first song “Sexo Fuera del Planeta” became a viral hit on Myspace, racking up thousands of plays and followers. It also caught the attention of local music executives.

CAREER
Farruko’s debut studio album, El Talento Del Bloque, arrived in June 2010. It was released by Siente Music and distributed by Universal Music Latino. It charted at #20 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The album boasted a mix of Latin, pop/rock. R&B and reggae. It featured Jose Feliciano on the track “Su Hija Me Gusta”, and Cosculluela on “Ella No Es Facil”. Farruko created more buzz with his 2011 single “Pa Romper La Discoteca” featuring Daddy Yankee & Yomo. His sophomore album, The Most Powerful Rookie, followed in May 2012. It was led by the single “Feel the Rhythm”. The album earned him a Latin Grammy Award nomination for the best urban music album. His 3rd album, Imperio Nazza – Farruko Edition, dropped in May 2013. It produced the single “Besas Tan Bien”, which gained international popularity.

Farruko was featured on the single “6 AM” from J Balvin‘s 3rd album La Familia (2013). It won two Lo Nuestro Awards, including one for Urban Collaboration of the Year. It also won the Billboard Latin Music Award for Latin Rhythm Song of the Year. Farruko joined Sony Music Latin in April 2015. His fourth album, Los Menores, was released in October 2014. It peaked at #1 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The project featured guest appearances from J Balvin, Sean Paul, Nicky Jam, Arcangel and others. It was spearheaded by the singles “Salgo”, “Bebe Conmigo” and “Interesada”. His more recent projects include Visionary (2015) and TrapXficante (2017). His upcoming album ‘Gangalee’ is scheduled for 2018. Farruko’s official YouTube ‘FARRUKOVEVO’ has 5.7+ million subscribers and 3+ billion views. His most-watched music videos are “Chillax” featuring Ky-Mani Marley, “Krippy Kusy” with Bad Bunny and Rvssian, and “Passion Whine” with Sean Paul.
