Evanna Lynch is an Irish actress, podcast host, and activist. She starred as “Luna Lovegood” in 4 films from the Harry Potter franchise. Evanna Patricia Lynch was born on August 16, 1991, in Termonfeckin, Ireland, the daughter of Marguerite and Donal Lynch. She has three siblings, Emily, Mairead, and Patrick. At age 14, Lynch auditioned and landed her breakout role as “Luna Lovegood” for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). The film was directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. Her performance earned her the 2009 SCREAM Award for best supporting actress. The role of Luna was reprised in the Half-Blood Prince (2009) and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2010) and Part 2 (2011). She also portrayed Luna in video games and in a stage production of A Very Potter Senior Year.

Lynch starred as “Emily” in the independent drama film My Name Is Emily (2015). She appeared opposite Michael J. Willett in the teen comedy G.B.F. (2013).
