Elvis Presley was an American rock singer and movie actor who rose to fame in the 1950s. He was referred to as the ‘King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’. Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi but relocated to Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 13 with his family. His first hit single ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ was released in 1956 and he followed course with several other chart toppers. He made his movie debut later that year with ‘Love Me Tender’ which was directed by Robert D. Webb. Throughout his career, he has sold over 600 million units worldwide, appeared in over 30 films, and won 3 Grammys. He died in summer of 1977 at the age of 42. His reported cause of death was heart failure. Elvis Presley had an estimated net worth of $300 million.
