Dwyane Wade is an American retired pro basketball player and three-time NBA champion. He stands 6ft 4in tall and played the shooting guard position. His career highlights include 13 NBA All-Star selection, 2x All-NBA First Team, and NBA Finals MVP (2006). Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr. was born on January 17, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois. His parents Dwyane Sr. and Jolinda separated when he was just a toddler. He has five siblings, Tragil, Deanna, Darnell, Demetris, and Kodhmus. Wade attended Harold L. Richards High School followed by Marquette University. He majored in broadcasting but never completed a degree.

CAREER
Wade played football at Harold L. Richards as a wide receiver. He transitioned to basketball his junior year under coach Jack Fitzgerald. He averaged 27 points and 11 rebounds his senior year. Wade continued his basketball career with the Golden Eagles at Marquette University. He played two seasons, averaged 19.7 points, and 6.5 rebounds. Wade led the team to their first Conference USA championship during the 2002-13 season. He earned All-America First Team honors and was named MVP of the Midwest Regional Final. His #3 jersey has since been retired by Marquette University.

Wade was selected by the Miami Heat with the 5th overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. He played 13 seasons and won 3 championships with the Heat. He had success playing alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Wade was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2004, and the All-NBA First Team in 2009 and 2010.
