DJ Akademiks (aka the Negrotiator aka Lil AK) is a Jamaican-born American YouTuber, rapper, DJ, and social media personality. He’s known for his video commentary on the latest hip-hop news and gossip. He co-hosts the web series “Everyday Struggle” with Nadeska and Wayno. DJ Akademiks was born Livingston Allen on May 17, 1991, in St. Catherine, Jamaica. He grew up in Spanish Town. Livingston moved to the United States in the early 2000s. After completing high school, he enrolled at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He majored in Biomathematics.

CAREER
Prior to fame, DJ Akademiks experimented with DJing and music production. He gained early exposure performing on his college’s radio station.
